Fallen in love.... with Iron ons

 

 Whilst in Paris we stumbled across the cutest stationary store called Papier Tigre.  Safe to say I wanted to buy everything from the cardboard office accessories to the notebooks.  Everything is designed to perfection and the whole store is beautiful.  In there they had a cabinet containing some gorgeous iron on patches, broaches and accessories by Macon and Leasquoy which I couldn't resist.  There's a huge range of cool Iron ons from geometric shapes to chips and a burger and I loved them.  I picked up two packs, one with a camera the other with a gun and bang speech bubble which I imaged on a shirt collar.  Each is embroidered and shiny and pretty.

I finally got round to Ironing them on this week, the illustrated instructions are simple and easy to follow  and I'm so happy with the results.  I used the camera one on the pocket of a plain white Topshop tee and the gun on the collar of a white Topshop shirt.  They are the perfect way to update an item of clothing and are super cute and unique.   I am so excited to wear the shirt, under jumpers, dresses and get a lot more wear out of a shirt I don't wear as its a bit plain!

My favourite....

Now I know this isn't everyones cup of tea but I love stationary and a good set of pens is essential.  I've recently bought a lush new big moleskine diary in an attempt to plan my days better and become more productive as well as not forgetting things, as I have the memory of a fish.  It's been a while since I've had a proper diary and after using a running out biro for the first week I decided I had to buy some new writing pens, not that I need an excuse to go stationary shopping.  

Muji is one of my favourite stationary shops ever because everything is so minimalist and practical. I have bought their acrylic storage for my makeup on my dressing table as its just so handy and fits perfectly, and their notebooks are always handy and cheap! But back to pens, I used to always have a range of pens readily available in my pencil case at uni, but since I have been using mainly fine liners and pencils I've neglected my pen selection.

I have been buying these gel ink ballpoint pens since I was doing my GCSEs and they never fail me.  The range of colours is perfect, they come in varied nib width? (I don't know if thats right but you can get a thinner 0.38 or thicker line with the 0.5) and they write so beautifully.  They're the sort of pen that makes you write neater because its such a good pen to write with if that makes sense.  

I'd forgotten how much I love writing in colour and how much prettier my diary looks when everything is colour co-ordinated (lets see how long that lasts), and I would highly recommend these to everyone!
